Growing up in rural Lincolnshire, the imp—inspired by the famous carving in Lincoln Cathedral—was EVERYWHERE! It was even appliquéd on the back of my Dad’s morris dancing waistcoat (he hated it).
A sucker for a social trend (which I always think of as folklore in their own right), I wanted to make series of small works inspired by the 2020s obsession with bag charms. These ones honour the Lincoln Imp—although you know me, she had to have boobies!
Part of my ‘Folk Fatales’ series and completely handmade in my studio in West Yorkshire, each one is unique and comes in a signed box.
Only 10 available.
NB: These are artworks not toys and I cannot vouch for their long-term durability if you choose to attach them to your bag.
